Kim Moon-soo is the current governor of Gyeonggi-do Province in Korea.
He is known for protecting the human rights of North Koreans as a member of the Unification, Foreign Affairs and Trade Committee since May 2004; a member of the Art Council of National Assembly, Assemblymen's Forum for the love of Juveniles, and Study Group to become Honest Politicians since 2004; and a member of Special Committee for the Human Rights of the person kidnapped to and escaped from North Korea since August 2004.
Mr. Kim has also spoken for the underprivileged during his lifetime ? he became a member of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts of Environment & Labor Committee (¡®96, ¡®98, ¡®99, ¡®00) to build an unemployment policy and served as a member of Special Committee for the Economical Reform from June, 1996 to May 2000.
After entering the College of Commerce at Seoul National University, he was expelled from school for participating in Student Demonstration to Expose Irregularities and Corruption. He graduated from SNU in 25 years from the admission, the college of Business Management in 1994.
He won his first election in April 1996, representing Bucheon in the National Assembly as a member of the Grand National Party.
