Geeteara Safiya CHOUDHURY Honourable Advisor of Women and Children Affairs (Bangladesh) Minister Choudhury is the advisor for Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Ministry of Social Welfare, Ministry of Jute and Textile and also Ministry of Industry. She has achieved graduation and post graduation in English literature from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She worked as a Sub-Editor in the then Pakistan Observer, Dhaka from 1964-1969.She served as Senior Assistant Editor, She, Karachi, Pakistan. From 1972-74 she was Executive Vice President Interspan Advertising Ltd. Dhaka. She was the Chairman & Managing Director, Adcomm Limited, a leading advertising agency of Bangladesh and President, Advertising Agencies Association of Bangladesh still she become the advisor. She is an individual Member of Asian Federation of Advertising Association (An Association of professional advertising practitioners in Asia). She is the sole recipient of Annanya Awards 1995, in recognition of her chievements and contributions in business as a woman entrepreneur. Federation of Indian Women Entrepreneurs, New Delhi, India has awarded her with Priyadarshini Award 1999.She has also been awarded with The Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World 2000 from Fortune Magazine & Christian Dior,U.S.A. The Daily Star,a leading daily news paper of Bangladesh & DHL awarded her as The Outstanding Women in Business of The Year 2002. She dreams to see poverty free Bangladesh.
