Hei-Sook LEE Dean of the Graduate School, Professor of Mathematics, Ewha Womans University (Korea) Dr. Hei-Sook Lee is the Dean of the Graduate School and Professor of Mathematics at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea. She is currently the President of the Korea Federation of Women’s Science & Technology Associations (KOFWST). Having received Ph.D. in Mathematics from Queen’s University in Canada in 1978, Dr. Lee has dedicated her life for more than 27 years to educate teachers and researchers in the field of mathematics. She has held various administrative positions at Ewha, including several deanships at the College of Natural Sciences, Office of Research Affairs and at the International Education Institute. Her work has been recognized and supported by government that she is currently a member of the Presidential Committee of Science and Technology as well as other governmental committees to promote science, engineering and technology. In 2003, she became the 3rd recipient of the Woman Scientist Award from the Korean Ministry of Science and Technology and the Korean Science and Engineering Foundation for her dedicated efforts in promoting and encouraging women scientists and engineers. Dr. Lee is the founder and the current Executive Director of the WISE(Women in to Science and Engineering) Center.
