Deborah H. Fikes currently serves as President of D.H. Fikes International Inc,
which is a consulting firm that specializes in promoting corporate
responsibility and positive approaches to advancing human rights globally. She
also serves as a Special Advisor to Governor Kim Moon-soo, Gyeonggi Province,
Republic of Korea and on the United States 2008 Presidential Committee
for Senator Sam Brownback. As the former spokesperson and advisor for Human
Rights Advocacy for the Ministerial Alliance of Midland, Texas, Deborah led
Protestant, Catholic, and Evangelical parishes in the hometown of
President George W. Bush to network with their national and international
counterparts to promote human rights advocacy efforts. The Midland Ministerial
Alliance is well known for their advocacy efforts internationally and
participation in interfaith dialogue and peace negotiations in
Sudan.
Deborah completed her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M
University and a graduate degree in Language Arts from the University of Texas
at Permian. She is the Director of the Institute of Chinese Religion and Law,
serves on the editorial board of The China Law and Religion Monitor, and
was named by Concerned Women of America as an Evangelical Woman of the Year in
2005. She is married to J. Stanley Fikes, Jr. who is an oil proprieter. They
have two daughters and divide their time between homes in Washington D.C. and
Texas. Deborah also travels internationally to encourage dialogue
and partnerships that promote human rights and peace through commerce. |
