Nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004, Dr. Rajaa Al-Khuzai was graduated from College of Medicine, Baghdad University (the first female doctor from Diwaniyah city) in 1968. She has PHD Degree in feminine diseases and delivery from the Royal College for feminine Doctors, London University (M.R.C.O.G).
Now she is a member of the Iraqi National Council and has several achievements in the non-governmental women activities. She got 25% of women seats in the Iraqi Parliament and had an active role in eliminating Verdict 137.
She is a member of the International Woman Forum, the International Arab Woman Forum and the International Museum of Woman. Dr. Rajaa Al-Khuzai was born in Diwaniyah city; she is married and has seven sons and daughters.
