As a non-native English speaker, she overcame many seemingly insurmountable hurdles to successfully navigate through the American business culture. Jinsoo is now a leading authority on communicating and networking with limited English skills and is a well sought after motivational speaker.

As Founder of the Rhinoceros Business Club, Jinsoo mentored over 800 American business people in the art of leadership and public speaking. She co-founded Success Builders International (SBI) in Silicon Valley where she trains business owners and other professionals in communications, leadership, and human relations. She is a member of the National Speakers Association and the International Federation for Professional Speakers, delivering frequent lectures on effective business communications to a wide variety of organizations and communities. In recognition of her outstanding contributions in the minority business community of San Francisco, former Mayor Willie Brown issued a proclamation establishing July 10, 2001 as Jinsoo Terry Day. The US Department of Commerce selected Jinsoo as the 2003 Minority Business Advocate of the Year, and in July of 2004 awarded her the U.S. Commercial Service Export Award. Her motivational story has been a continued feature on America’s leading television stations. ABC TV named Jinsoo Terry one of the top 10 Asian Pacific Islander community leaders and featured her in several vignette spotlights during Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month. In January 2006, Jinsoo was featured in the Korean SBS television station’s documentary on fun management.
